A brand film that didn’t sell a car. It gave someone permission to buy one.
Putting ourselves into the shoes of a prospective client, we asked what a Porsche buyer would need to think, feel and do differently after watching this.
During our brainstorm meeting we came up with one word to fuel our approach. Nostalgia.
The typical buyer – late forties, early fifties, finally in a position to afford it – already wants the car. What stops them isn’t budget. It’s guilt. The feeling that this is indulgent. That they shouldn’t.
So the film had one job: to reframe the purchase entirely. Not indulgence. Permission. The completion of a dream that started in childhood and never really went away.
The voiceover said what every buyer was already feeling but hadn’t given themselves permission to say out loud. The dream never left. It’s been waiting.
